Lloyds British have modernised a conveyor drop section table SWL 1600Kgs to included an electronic weight overload device.
The load is assessed 12 times a second at each corner of the table via 4 sprocket mounted load pins. If 1 or more pins detect a load greater than 110% of the Safe working load then the automatic process machinary is immediately stopped. It can only be reset using a key supplied, which is momentry action to avoid an unathorised overide of the safety device.
The benefit of this system is that the load is summated between all 4 load pins and gives an instant visual display of the dynamic load present.
